Singer Sewing Machine, London E17
We were approached by a client to revamp this beautiful singer sewing machine that belonged to her Great Grandmother. With just the base in tact, the piece was very tired. We were delighted to bring some life back into this piece, starting with respraying the metal base. We then created a bespoke concrete top to fit the base in shade Babe at 40mm thick. This unique commission showcases the versatility and longevity of concrete, meaning this heirloom will see many more generations to come.
"My mum used to make baby clothes on that for me! And my great grandmother for her, before that - it's THAT OLD. So precious and will be treasured - the nieces already have their eye on it!"
