Lazy Oaf, London & Nationwide
We were delighted when Lazy Oaf, a long time brand crush of ours, approached us to do a collaboration together. We worked closely with the Lazy Oaf team to bring their iconic ‘happy/sad’ branding to life as homeware accessories. We hand crafted a concrete trinket dish, vase and coaster set in Lazy Oaf’s signature pastel tones, featuring details such as a tie dye colour finish and embossed happy/sad detailing.
The collaborative process took around 5 months from our initial discussion to the first items being sold and sent. The crafting of these pieces includes complex hand carving of wooden negatives, from which silicone moulds are created for concrete to be hand poured into, before being being polished and sealed. Each piece is individually poured creating a unique item every time.
